James Charles Hawkins
1943 - 2009

James Charles Hawkins, 65, died Monday, May 4, in Iowa Park.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mr. Hawkins was born Tuesday, June 29, 1943 at Honey Grove, to Dean and Pauline Hawkins. He has lived in Iowa Park for 15 years. He was a dragline operator and mechanic. His hobbies included racing cars and making custom knives.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Jim Hawkins of Wichita Falls; four daughters, Vickie Miller and Elizabeth Hawkins, both of Wichita Falls, Charlene Hawkins of the Rio Grande Valley and Michelle Wade of Arkansas; four sisters, Martha Hawkins, Billie Hawkins, Dorothy Cates and Marye Lou Fairchild, all of Iowa Park; a brother, Arval Hawkins of Quinlan; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
