Willie Leon Brown
1937 - 2015

Willie Leon Brown, 78, passed away Saturday in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Iowa Park Church of Christ, with Mr. Bill Lockwood, Minister, officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Leon was born Feb. 8, 1937, in Olney, to Willie Lawrence and Neta Opal (Spain) Brown. He moved from Megargel, to Iowa Park and attended Iowa Park schools through the 12th grade. He married Billie Ann Prickett on Oct. 6, 1962. He served in the U.S. Army and the Naval Reserve and later owned and operated an oil well service. He also worked at Washex where he retired at age 62 as a supervisor for electrical components.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carlton Brown; and a sister, Carol Ann Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Billie, of Iowa Park; children, Suzy Sam of Gardendale, and Laura Lama of Wichita Falls; a sister, Delores Morgan, of Lewisville; and three grandchildren.

The family has suggested memorials be made to the Iowa Park Church of Christ.
