Emma Jean Casburn
1935 - 2013

Emma Jean Casburn, 77, of Burkburnett, died on Wednesday, May 8.

Graveside services were held Saturday, at Charlie Cemetery with Dennis Ott officiating.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 25, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1400 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

A daughter of the late Evelyn Kirkwood Moyer and Otis Vaughn, Jean was born on Nov. 20, 1935,in Waxsaw, MS. She and Robert Casburn, Jr. were married on July 24, 1954, in Petrolia. She worked for many years as a dietary manager in local long-term care centers. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1964.

Jean was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Casburn, Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Casburn, III of Norman, OK., and Richard Casburn of Iowa Park; two daughters, Katherine Trull of Harrison, AR. and Melissa DeeLynn Smith of Burkburnett; two sisters, Wanda Golson and Louise Riddle both of Burkburnett; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
