Leo Joseph Wiese
1927 - 2008
Leo Joseph Wiese, 81, of Wichita Falls, died Monday, May 19.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. today at Crestview Memorial Park.

Mr. Wiese was born March 8, 1927, in Flint, Michigan, to Leo Joseph and Thenie Loree (Wilson) Wiese. He served in the United States Army during WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam War. He retired as a major after 30 years of service. He and Mary Lois Cribbs were married May 13, 1972. They have lived in Wichita Falls the past 40 years. He was a lifetime member of VFW #2147, American Legion #169, and the DAV. He was a HAM radio master, and enjoyed building radio controlled airplanes.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lina Ann Wiese; and stepdaughter, Patricia R. Ford.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Mitchell of Mansfield, MO., and Deborah Kay Cerveny of Iowa Park; a son, James Lee of Iowa Park; a step-son, Jack E. Ford of Alvord; a brother, Sherrell James of Florida; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
