SPC. Ryan Daniel Collins
The son of Lynn Collins who served as Iowa Park Police Chief from 1998 to 2002, United States Army SPC. Ryan Daniel Collins, 20, was killed in Iraq Friday, reportedly near Bagdad.

Ryan was a graduate of Vernon High School.

Funeral services have not been set, but will be held in Vernon under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

He is survived by his parents, Lynn of Flower Mound and David and Danita Logsdon of Vernon; a brother, Eric of College Station; two half brothers, Cameron and Colton, both of Flower Mound; and grandparents, Janie Flores of California, and Danny and Mary Ann Logsdon of Vernon.

Memorials may be made to the Ryan Collins Scholarship Fund at Herring Bank in Vernon.
