Forrest Leonidas "Leon" Costello
1933 - 2007
Forrest Leonidas “Leon” Costello, 73, died Thursday, May 10, in Iowa Park.
Services were held Monday, May 14, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial was held in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Costello was born June 28, 1933, to Roy L. and Macel L. (Moyers) Costello, in Fairmont, WV. He and Dolores Watson were married July 31, 1958. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War until retiring in 1973. He later retired from Sears. He was a past master of the Wichita Falls Masonic Lodge No. 635, in which he was presented the Golden Trowel Award. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the 40/8 Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Cross; and a brother, Jack.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathy Lea Elliott, and Kimberly Sue Boland both of Iowa Park; three sons, Thomas Alan of Medical Lake, WA, and Michael Roy and Bradley Leon, both of Iowa Park; a sister, Shirley Moore of N.C.; a brother Fred West of WV; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Friendly Door Senior Citizen’s Center.
