James William Hartmangruber
James William Hartmangruber, 75, died Sunday, May 20, in Wichita Falls.

Services were held Wednesday at Christ The King Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick J. Burke, Iowa Park, and Rev. Ivor Koch, Wichita Falls, officiating.

Burial was held in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Electra under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mr. Hartmangruber was born April 12, 1932, in Punkin’ Center, to Mike and Josephine (Kuss) Hartmangruber. He and his wife, Mary were married August 9, 1952, in Mount Carmel Catholic Church. He was a member of the Christ The King Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Farm Bureau. He was co-inventor of E-Z-Way Sodding Company with his dad and brother. He retired in 2000 as plant manager of Texhoma Ag and had been a resident of Iowa Park 48 years.. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Louis; a sister, Agnes Hunter; a granddaughter, Heather Boylan; and step-grandson, Cooper Boylan, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of Iowa Park; a daughter, Melissa Arrington of Iowa Park; a son, Steve of Iowa Park; three sisters, Lorene Goforth of Wichita Falls, Virginia “Jeaney” Hilley of Houston, and Mary Sokora of Wichita Falls; a granddaughter; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Christ The King Catholic Church, 1008 North First, Iowa Park; or the American Heart Association.
