Edwin Lee Jetton, 91, died Thursday, May 19, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Services were held Monday at Munday First United Methodist Church with pastor Pam Lehman officiating. Burial was held in Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday.
Mr. Jetton was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Bellevue to Affie Elizabeth and Clarence Lee Jetton. At a young age he and his parents moved from Bellevue to a farm in Hefner, where he attended school before attending Goree High School. He and Ruth Corrine Wardlaw were married Oct. 7, in Munday. He worked on a B-24 aircraft prior to going into the military. He served in the United States Army from Aug. 1944 to Aug. 1946. After leaving the service, he worked for Wardlaw Butane and Appliance. He later managed the business for 30 years. He was a member of the Masons for 60 years and a member of Munday First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry of Richardson; a daughter, Sheryll Simmons of Iowa Park; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
