Joel Lynn Christmas

IOWA PARK - Joel (Joe) Lynn Christmas, 52, of Iowa Park died Thursday May 20, 2010.

Memorial service were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel, Iowa Park, Texas.

Mr. Christmas was born August 10, 1957 in Wichita Falls, TX, to the late Bobby and Nelda Christmas. He and Sandy Neifert were married on December 15, 1984 in Iowa Park, TX. He was the District Manager for Alsco Linen.

Joe was a loving husband, father, Pa Pa and friend. Anyone who knew him knew he would do anything for his family. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed golfing and fishing. He loved children, and enjoyed playing Santa Claus for organizations in the community.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Christmas of Iowa Park; three daughters, Stephanie Wooten and husband, Terry, Stormi Bryant and husband, Trevor all of Iowa Park and Melissa Turner of Pine Bluff, AR.; one son, Jacob Turner of Pine Bluff, AR.; three brothers, Steve Christmas and wife, Lisa of Houston, TX, Mike Christmas and wife, Sherry of Tokyo, Japan, and Bart Christmas and special friend Lane West of Houston, TX.; three brothers-in- law, Brad Wynn of Iowa Park, Greg Neifert of Wichita Falls, and Roger Neifert of Des Moines, IA.; two sisters-in-law, Pam Wynn and Brenda Nesbitt both of Wichita Falls; four grand children, Trevor Wooten of Iowa Park, Shanna Wooten of Holliday, Dustin Wooten of Ft. Riley, KS, and London Bryant of Iowa Park, and many nieces and nephews.

Honorary pall bearers include; Larry Denney, Michiel Clark, Danny Skinner, Burl Minter, Steve Collins, and Charlie Vaden.

The family is requesting all donations be made to the Friendly Door Senior Citizens Center of Iowa Park, Texas.
