Jobeth Pruett Meisel
IOWA PARK – Jobeth Pruett Meisel of Valley View, Texas, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Services were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May, 26, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Park with Mr. Charles Terry, minister of the Kamay Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Holliday Cemetery, Holliday, Texas under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Jobeth was born December 19, 1939 in Archer City, Texas to James Mathis Pruett, Sr. and Frances McKinney Pruett. The family moved to Valley View, where she graduated as Valedictorian from Valley View High School in 1957. She married her sweetheart, Jerry Meisel on May 15, 1965 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Jobeth was actively involved at Kamay Church of Christ and lived her life as a witness to all whose life she touched. She and her husband owned and operated their family upholstery business where her skilled seamstress talents shone. However, her love truly shined through her gift of sewing, when she blessed the new baby arrivals with the much anticipated quilts that were so lovingly made by her hands. Each quilt humbly displayed on the backside a precious insert sewn as a gentle reminder that each new bundle of joy was being covered with her love. She enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family and remodeled her home to accommodate the many memories that were created through her gift of hospitality. She also conveyed her gift of strength and encouragement through her own personal business with Mary Kay Cosmetics. She strived from the beginning to empower women to emanate their inner beauty. She won many distinguished awards and honors through her motivation to bless others as she had been blessed through Mary Kay.
Jobeth is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, J.M. Pruett, Jr. and Bobby Pruett; father-in-law, Kenneth Meisel; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Meisel and Donnie Reynolds, and sister-in-law, Joyce Pruett.
