Larry Elton Knight, 73, passed away at his home in Iowa Park Monday, May 30.
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. today at the Walters Cemetery in Walters, OK. The interment is under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
Larry was born on Feb. 14, 1938, to John Bryant and Augusta Bell (Ruffin) Knight in Walters, OK. For many years, Larry was a self-employed licensed master electrician and worked on many projects from Texas and Oklahoma all the way to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. He also spent time working on projects at the North Pole. After his retirement, he spent much of his time traveling and spending time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and spent a lot of his retirement time at area lakes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dale Knight and sisters Reva Stafos and Ester Brown.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeri Sharise Terry and Cheryl Denise Lockhart, both of Iowa Park; two sons, Larry Elton Knight, Jr., and Chris Alan Knight, both of Iowa Park; and five grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to The American Cancer Society in Wichita Falls at 2304 Midwestern Pkwy # 206, Wichita Falls, TX 76308-2334.
