Thomas Lewis Kraning
1953 - 2014

Thomas Lewis Kraning, 60, of Iowa Park, passed away at his residence Saturday, June 7.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Dutton Funeral Home with his nephew, Dow Boyer of Greenwood, IN., officiating. Interment with full military honors followed at Highland Cemetery.

Thomas was born Oct. 16,1953, in Indianapolis, IN., to Jack and Evalyn Mains Kraning. He married Barbara Boyer June 30, 1973 in Indianapolis, IN. He joined the United States Army in Oct. of 1977 and served until his retirement as SFC E7 in June of 1997. He then worked at SAFB as a hydraulics instructor for 16 years, retiring on May 17, 2014. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and sight-seeing, and being surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Evalyn Kraning; one brother Jack E. Kraning; two sisters, Bethany Ratcliff, and Sharlotta Deree.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Thomas Kraning Jr. of Wichita Falls, and David Kraning of Weatherford; a daughter, Treasa Kraning Warren of Burkburnett; three sisters Joanna Crafton, Pamela Barnes, and Valerie Henson, all of Indianapolis,IN.; and 10 grandchildren.
