Elbert Donald “Don” Booth, 80, died Friday, June 1.
Services were held Thursday, June 7, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with Dr. Scott Willingham of Faith Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, officiating. Eulogy was delivered by Dr. Tom Talbert. Interment was held in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Booth was a native of Cisco and had been a resident of Wichita Falls since 1970. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He had served in the United States Army during World War II, and retired as plant manager for Mead’s Fine Bread after 33 years of service. He was past president of the North Texas Grocers’ Association. He and his wife, Hazel were married August 5, 1948, in Irion County. She preceded him in death in 1993.
He was also preceded in death by three sons, Richard, Edwin, and Roy.
Survivors include four daughters, Gwen Cravens of Mertzon, Roxann Boley and Donna Deatherage, both of Wichita Falls, and Vickie Fulton-Dooley of Iowa Park; three sons, Fred Harrison of Fort Worth, Donald of Wichita Falls, and Richard Lee of Smithville; two sisters, Moselle Yeager of Cisco, and Reeta Willingham of San Angelo; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson, Rd., Wichita Falls, Tx. 76310.
