Tammy Jo Kroes
Tammy Jo Kroes died Thursday, June 2, while training horses.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett with Rev. Brandon Dunn of Western Heritage Christian Church in Petrolia and Rev. Duane Peters of Inspiration Point Cowboy Church in Tom Bean officiating. Interment was held in Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery.
Tammy Jo enjoyed riding and training Barrel Horses, and enjoyed flowers, all animals and farming and ranching. She was born in Kingsville to Paul and Peggy (Robertson) Holderness. She and Calvin Kroes were married June 15, 1996, in Wichita Falls. She worked for Howmet for 25 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Burkburnett and Western Heritage Christian Church of Petrolia, National Barrel Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, National Limousine Association, and Knoble Foundation.
Survivors include her husband of Burkburnett; her mother of Byers; and two sisters, Wendy Wilson of Byers and Ann Marie Holderness of Iowa Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to Western Heritage Christian Church, 4583 FM 810, Petrolia, Tx. 76377.
