Tommy Ray Adams
1943 - 2018

Tommy Ray Adams, 74, of Alvin passed away on June 6.

Tommy was born on Aug. 9, 1943, to Ira Ross and Vivian “Peggy” (Bennett) Adams in Corpus Christi. He married Carolyn “Carol” Hyden on June 11, 1966, at Premont Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army. After his time spent in the Army he went in to law enforcement. He served in Brazoria County, was a detective in Iowa Park, Chief of Police in Waelder, and then spent 13 years as a correctional officer in Lockhart. His other enjoyment came from reading.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Vivian Adams; brother, Harley Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Adams; daughter: Iris Sullivan of Burkburnett; brothers and sisters: Geneva Brookshire, Pamela Caylor, Vivian Theiler, Edwin Adams, and Deborah Wienckoski; four grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren.
