A celebration of life service was held Wednesday, May 30, in the Sanctuary of Hopewell Church with the Reverend Jerry Millwood and the Reverend Mark Williams officiating. Private interment was held Thursday, May 31, in the Summer Memorial Gardens in Gallatin, TN.

They later formed the Singing Goforth Family and sang in Texas as well as Tennessee when they relocated to Cleveland in 1971. Sue served alongside her husband Leon as they pastored the Hopewell Church of God for 22 years. During that time, she also served as office manager for Dr. Paul Grayson Smith. After her retirement in 2002 they relocated to Gallatin, TN.
