Bobby Joe (Bob) Owen

Bobby Joe Owen was born May 19, 1964, in Wichita Falls, Tx., to Tinie and Elaine Owen. He passed away at his home in Wichita Falls, TX on June 1, 2018.
He grew up in Iowa Park, and attended Iowa Park schools.

He is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, Lacy Brown Owen; the child he wanted all his life, Lieghton Joe Owen; his “Maw”, Elaine Owen; mother-in-law, Peggy Long; father-in-law, Benny Long; Nanny Pat Henson; his sister, Cathy Owen Schroeder and husband, Ronnie; brother-in-law, B.J. Long; his very special nieces, Brianna Owen who he helped raise (Rug Rat), Kayley Long, who he loved dearly; nephew Jonathan Schroeder - he had plans tto teach him this summer to be a mechanic; and brother Johnny Owen.

He is preceded in death by Dad Tinie Owen; Grandparents Frank and Ida Owen, Ruth and John Chandler, Uncle Earl Jones, Grandfather-in-law Dan Henson, Aunt Opal Clark, Cousin Sandy Clark and his best friend, Kyle Bernstein.

Bob was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and cousin. He leaves behind countless friends. He was loved by so many, he would do anything for anyone. He had the biggest caring heart and loved his fur babies. They were his kids until his son came along.

He loved tinkering with old cars. He always looked forward to the Vernon Cruise every year. He also loved burnouts and cooking out with family and friends.
He was called Uncle by all of Brianna’s friends, and loved to make things for his and Lacy’s home. He was always making and fixing things for others.
You will be missed, Bob.

A celebration of his life will be held June 16, 2018 at 12-noon at Anchor Baptist Church, 4298 Armory Road, Wichita Falls.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up by the family under the name Bobby Owen.
