Vivian Josephine Cokendolpher
Vivian Josephine Coken-dolpher, 91, of Wichita Falls, died Friday, June 8.
Services were held Monday in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Darius McKay, officiating. Interment was held in Charlie Cemetery.
Mrs. Cokendolpher was born April 20, 1916, in Hardeman County to Edgar and Leta (Burge) Goree. She and Oscar Cokendolpher were married June 14, 1933, in Acme.
He preceded her in death March 24, 1993. They owned and operated Cokendolpher Peach and Pecan Orchard in Charlie for many years. She was a homemaker most of her life and a member of the First Baptist Church of Charlie.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, B.C. Goree, Harold Goree, Robert Goree, and Ray Goree; and two sisters, Ruby McCollum, and Inez Tinker.
Survivors a son, William L. of Iowa Park; three daughters, Shirley Holladay of DeFuniak Springs, FL., Josephine Rogers of Perry, OK., and Barbara Wolfe of Wichita Falls; a sister, Avis Trolinder of Duncan, OK.; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
For those desiring, the family suggest memorials be made to the Charlie Cemetery Association or to the Rathgeber Hospitality House of Wichita Falls.
