Edward Nix
1924 - 2012

Edward Nix, 87, of Iowa Park, passed away Monday, June 18.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at City View Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Miller, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Edward was born Nov. 13, 1924 in Caney, OK., to the late T.F. and Alice M. (Samples) Nix. He retired from Levi Straus where he worked as a cutter for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen Nix; his brother, Trannie Nix; and two sisters, Fannie Nix Emmons, and Bessie Nix Laudermilk.

Survivors include three daughters, Tressa Ann Nix Boyd and Alana “Lana” KaLynn Nix, both of Iowa Park, and Gayla Dawn Nix Scoughton of Lake Arrowhead; a son, Russell Edward Nix of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Humane Society of Wichita County, 4360 Old Iowa Park Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76305.
