Hollis Weldon Perkins
Hollis Weldon Perkins, 74, of Iowa Park, died Monday, June 30, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held at 5 P.M., today at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Les Banks, Director of Missions, Tillman County, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park.
Mr. Perkins was born August 20, 1933 in Comanche County, Texas, to Henry and Fleta Estes Perkins. He married Mary Ann Balis on February 14, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a self-employed cable TV salesman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in Korea and received the Korean Service Medal, the UN Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Balis) Perkins, of Iowa Park; a sister, Verna Lee Williams of Georgetown; five daughters, Cynthia Vinklarek of San Angelo, Melissa Huff of Frederick, Oklahoma, Kimberly Friede and Christie Glebe, both of Iowa Park, and Candie Taylor of Wichita Falls; and 16 grandchildren.
