Tommy Don Youngblood

Tommy Don Youngblood, 46, of Wichita Falls, passed away at home Thursday, June 26.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Don Pellikan, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Burkburnett, officiating. Interment followed at Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Youngblood was born Nov. 8, 1961, in Wichita Falls to Donald and Charlene (Avery) Youngblood. He was a 1980 graduate of Wichita Falls High School, and was selected All-State in baseball. He played summer league for the Burkburnett Black Sox program and was on the Texas State Championship team. He attended LaBette Community College in Parsons, Kansas, on a full baseball scholarship. He was a partner at Youngblood’s Service Station. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. He enjoyed playing baseball, dancing, and fishing.
Survivors include his father, Don of Wichita Falls; his mother, Charlene Avery Barbour of Iowa Park; a sister, Cindy Jordan of Iowa Park; a brother, Curt of Wichita Falls; a sister, Linda Vietenheimer of Deer Creek; and step-siblings, Jimmy Cleveland, Shenista Cleveland, and LaVirla Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Y.M.C.A., Youth Baseball Program.
