Junette Michalik Holub, 72, passed away Tuesday, Jun 29, in Wichita Falls.
A Christian Wake service was held Thursday, July 1, at Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass was held Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seymour with Rev. Charles Garantla and Deacon Jim Novak officiating. Interment was held in the SPJST Cemetery.
Mrs. Holub was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Knox County, to Rudolf and Edith Hajek Michalik. She graduated Seymour High School and Draughan’s Business College. During the years following school, she worked for the Civil Service at Sheppard Air Force Base, the Baylor County Hospital, Montgomery Ward, Dr. W.F. Thompson, D.O., and retired from the Home Health of Rural Texas in 2000. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and of the Sacred Heart Altar Society for over 50 years, and was the manager of the gift shop at the Pastoral Center. Her hobbies included cooking, hunting, fishing. In her later years she enjoyed games on her computer and talking on the phone. She and Lambert Holub were married Sept. 17, 1957, in Seymour. He preceded her in death May 10, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Jeffery of Kamay; a sister, Margie Psencik of Seymour; and three grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Altar Society.
