Marvin George Klinkerman
1927 - 2013

Marvin George Klinkerman, 85, passed away Thursday, July 4, in his home in Iowa Park.

Services were held Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clara with Rev. Keith Kubitz of Vernon officiating. Interment followed in the Clara Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Electra, to Oscar and Lydia (Holtzen) Klinkerman, He and Virginia Haynes were married March 12, 1950. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clara. He learned the value of a day’s work from an early age, He started farming with his father at the age of eight. He is known all over Wichita County as an outstanding farmer/rancher.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; two sisters, Neva Steinert, and Helen Shirley; and a brother, Harold Klinkerman.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; two daughters Pam Cox of Madill, OK., and Beverly Bohannon of Iowa Park; sister Marion Black of Midlotian; two brothers, Gerald Klinkerman of Victoria, and Gene Klinkerman of Burkburnett; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
The family suggest donations be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174.
