LaRue Neal Bishop, 75, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, July 5.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Thurman Murphy officiating. A private family burial followed, under the direction of the funeral home.

LaRue was born Aug. 29, 1936, in Byers to the late John Wilson and Hazel Beatrice (Massie) Neal. She and Bobby Lee Bishop were married on Feb. 18, 1956. He preceded her in death in 1990.

LaRue was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Nona Gay Mobley and Brenda Jo Hearn; and her brothers, Ronnie Neal and Raymond Neal.

She is survived by her children, Randy Bishop of Wichita Falls, Sherry Grubb of Burkburnett, Lisa Bishop of Burkburnett, and Lesli Bishop of Rockwall; two sisters, Sandra Kerr and Diana Neal, both of Iowa Park; a brother, Von Neal of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
