James Lester Keen

James Lester Keen, 87, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, July 11, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Cremation services are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
James was born April 8, 1924, in Yantis, to James Richard Keen and Carrie Shoemaker Keen. He and Mattie Jane Harrison were married Feb. 28, 1947, in Alba. During World War II, he served in the Army-Air Force. He was a sheet metal journeyman most of his life. In the early 1960s, he coached Boys Club baseball.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David Wayne on Sept. 28, 1910, and Herry Paul on Oct. 18, 2003; a daughter, Sandy Kay in 1969; two brothers, Frankie Ray ‘D and Roy Lonzell; and four sisters, Vera Walker, Ruth Thomas, Bernice Pope and Sammie Kenimer.
Survivors include his wife of Wichita Falls; a son, Larry James of Grandfield, OK.; a daughter, Kandy Jane Garcia of Iowa Park; a brother, Charles Herman of Sulphur Springs; a sister, Reba Buford of Emory; and five grandchildren.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Fall, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, Tx. 76310..
