Patricia Ann Hammel
1936 - 2013

Patricia Ann Hammel, 77, of Holliday passed away Saturday, July 13, at a San Antonio Hospital.

Services were held Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Holliday with Brother Darrell Sewell officiaitng. Interment was held at Crestview Memorial Park.

Patricia was born April 25, 1936, in Warsaw, IL., to William Marvin and Olive Evalee (Tripp) McKeel. She married Leo B. Hammel on Aug. 4, 1953, in Warsaw, IL. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Holliday, helping with Vacation Bible School and as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed traveling with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael McKeel, and James McKeel; and grandson, Shane Morris.

Survivors include her husband; children, Sally Morris of Burleson, Roger Hammel of San Antonio, Paul Hammel of Iowa Park, Georgiana Talley of Wichita Falls, Cindy Looney and Micheal Hammel, both of Holliday; three sisters, Sharon Buckert of Mattawan, MI., Judy Johnson of Carthage, IL., and Colleen Walter Hamon of Godley; brother, William Marvin “Sonny” McKeel of Webb City, MO.; 27 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

If desired, the family suggest memorials be made to the Youth Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Holliday.
