Robert Hinkle
1928 - 2013

Robert Hinkle, 85, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, July 15.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Gardner, of Legacy Church of God, officiating.

Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park, Garden of Angels.

Mr. Hinkle was born April 25, 1928, in Devol, OK., to the late William R. Hinkle, Sr. and Lena Mae (Glidewell) Hinkle. He was married to Grace Miracle Hinkle and she preceded him in death in 1952. He later married Madlyn Addison Hinkle and they moved to Wichita Falls in 1954 where she also preceded him in death in 2000. He was a longtime member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. He was employed as a salesman for Nunn Electric and retired after 37 years of service. He was actively involved and was a longtime sponsor of area 4-H, FFA and Young Farmers. He enjoyed bird hunting and most all sports.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Horace and J. C. Hinkle.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Hicks of Wichita Falls; a son Dennis Hinkle of Kamay; a sister, Mary Louise Mainelli of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to your local 4-H or FFA organizations.
