Eleanor Jean (Anderson)

1941 - 2017

Eleanor Jean (Anderson) Collier, 75, passed away Sunday, July 16, in Wichita Falls.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park with Rev. Rick Davis, Pastor, officiating.

Visitation will be held at Dutton Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening.

Eleanor was born Aug. 20, 1941, to Leon Milton Anderson, Jr. and Edith Olive (Eason) Anderson. She married Glenn Collier on July 8, 1980 in Lawton, OK., and lived in Iowa Park. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park. Eleanor worked as a Quality Control Tech for Vetrotex America where she retired after 20 years of service. She volunteered for the local food bank and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Stephanie Lynn Smith; and great grandchild, Isabella Lynn Mendenhall.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Collier of Iowa Park; children, Chance Milton Collier of Iowa Park, Pamela Naughton of Denton, Charles Collier of Wichita Falls, Melinda Ann Mendenhall of Dayton, OH., and Stacey Lynn McCleskey and James Phillip Dempsey, Jr., both of Roanoke, VA., a brother, Leon Milton Anderson, III of Sugarland; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to The Kids Club at the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park.
