Reid Willis Pyle
1922 - 2008
Reid Willis Pyle, 85, passed away Saturday, July 19, in Iowa Park. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Dutton Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services followed at the Wilbarger Memorial Cemetery in Vernon under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mr. Pyle was born December 6, 1922 in Thalia, to Ray and Clara (Shultz) Pyle. He married Evelyn J. Pope on December 10, 1942 in New York City, NY. He was a self employed Bulldozer Operator in Vernon, for over 60 years and was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Erma (Flax) Pyle; a son, Gerald Pyle; and a brother, Joe Ray Pyle.

Survivors include his wife of Iowa Park; three daughters, Pat Goss and Rita White, both of Iowa Park, and Linda Johnson of Orange Grove; a son, Gary Pyle of Chattanooga, OK; two brothers, Lois of Floydada, and James of Fort Worth; a sister, Iona Adkins of Crowell; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
