Bonnie Earlene (Lawson)

1933 - 2014

Bonnie Earlene (Lawson) Hambright, 81, longtime resident of Iowa Park, passed away Friday, July 18, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Holliday, with Rev. Mickey Miller, Pastor of Mankins Baptist Church, officiating.

Graveside services followed in the Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born March 17, 1933, in Bellevue, to Sargent W. and Pearl E. (Taylor) Lawson. She was a 1950 graduate of Holliday schools. She married A.D. Hambright, Sr., Oct. 19, 1950, in Henrietta, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mankins Baptist Church. She was an active member of her church and the Friendly Door Senior Citizens.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Andrew Michael Hambright and Ira Daniel Hambright; a daughter, Glenda Earlene Turner; a granddaughter, Brittney Michelle Woolis; six brothers, Ray, Ed, Fred, Peewee and Henry Lawson, and Buster Smith; and two sisters, Reba McDougal and Tinsey Lawson.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Renee Hulsey of Calvert, Robert Ivan Hambright of Rio Vista, and A.D. Hambright, Jr. of Lakeside City; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
