Kerry Lee “Scooby-Do”

Kerry Lee “Scooby-Do” Scobee, 60, passed away Thursday, July 17, in Iowa Park.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Hotter “N” Hell Building on North Scott Street in downtown Wichita Falls.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.

Kerry was born June 12, 1954, in Olney, to Raymond Benjamin and Lois Earlene (Gray) Scobee. He attended school in Valley View until it was consolidated with Iowa Park schools, where he graduated. He married Rhonda Lee Neal on Aug. 4, 1978, in Iowa Park. He worked for 38 years for PPG in Maintenance Utility. He enjoyed fishing, garage selling with his friends, talking about and teaching living history, and watching “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.”

He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Raymond Earl Scobee.

Survivors include his wife of Iowa Park; son, Robert Benjamin “Bobby” Scobee of Iowa Park; one brother, Ben Scobee of Iowa Park; and one sister, LaRonda Downs of Kamay.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, or to Susan G. Komen Wichita Falls, PO Box 1315, Wichita Falls, TX 76307.
