Joan VanHuss Waggner

Joan VanHuss Waggner, 68, of Wichita Falls died Friday, July 23, at a local hospice.
Memorial services were held Monday at Liberty Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Rick Ross, Weldon Wright, and Gerald Nixon.
Interment followed at Crestview Memorial Park.
Ms. Waggner was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Pampa, to John Dean and Thelma Lou Oakley VanHuss. She was a massage therapist and a personal caregiver.
She also applied permanent cosmetics. She was a member of Red Door and Senior Zone and the local Massage Association. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1966; her mother in 2006; and a brother, Tommy Layne in 1972.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori Wooster of Wichita Falls and Dana Polly of Iowa Park; five sisters, Shirley Taylor of Wichita Falls, Johnnie Mitchell of Wichita Falls, Sally Ashton of Burkburnett, Rebecca Nixon of Lubbock, and Melissa Wright of Madill, OK.; a brother, Jack VanHuss of Dodd City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
