Joel Ray Mills, 21, passed away Tuesday, July 24.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 27, in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Ephraim Judah officiating.
Burial was held at the family’s farm in Bowie.
Joel was born May 26, 1991, in Wichita Falls, to Raymond and Julie Mills. He was a foreman repairing PDC drill bits and was beginning to design new diamond bits for Mills Bit Service Inc., in Bowie. He was a Torah Observant Believer in Messiah Yahushua. He built the meeting place for believers to come together to fellowship and study Scriptures and also the additions made to the shop for Mills Bit Service Inc. He enjoyed resting on the Sabbath, making jewelry for his future bride, Emily Perry, and friends and family, riding his motorcycles, sailing, and playing chess. He attended CampYeshua for many summers.
Survivors include his parents, Raymond and Julie Mills of Bowie; brother, Joshua of Bowie; four sisters, Marlaina McKnight of Iowa Park, Cassie, Mary and Rebekah Mills, all of Bowie; and grandparents, Marie Bonham of Dean and Mary Petty and husband, Albert of Bowie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for a scholarship to Camp Yeshua, P.O. Box 109 in Bowie, Texas 76230.
