Dos Thurman Blaylock

Dos Thurman Blaylock, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at Heritage Church with Pastor Claude Hendricks, Sr. Adult Minister, officiating.Burial followed at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late Dos T. and Cora A. (Parker) Blaylock, he was born on January 25, 1928 in Chilton, Texas. He was a member of Heritage Church for over 40 years, and attended The Cowboy Church. Dos retired from T.U. Electric where he worked as an Electrician for 36 1/2 years. He was a hard worker, enjoyed going to garage sales, and collecting tools. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, June Davis Blaylock; and two daughters, Billie Judith Pruitt, and Andrea Ravella.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, June E. (Brumley) Blaylock of Wichita Falls; his son, Brent Blaylock and wife Mitzi of Carrolton; his daughter, Angela Davis and husband Jimmy of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Melton Blaylock of Marshall, and Rev. Bobby Blaylock and wife Louise of Longview; his sister, Shirley Williams; six grandchildren, Michelle Matthews and husband Clarence, Elizabeth Blaylock Schmidt and husband Fred, Jennifer Kurschinski and husband Eric, Brandon Davis and wife Alisha, Nick Ravella and wife Kate, and Anthony Ravella; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
