B.A. "Al" Gross, 81, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls with Rev. Danny Hodgkins, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late James C. and Nellie E. (Underwood) Gross, he was born on April 11, 1930 in Charlie, Texas. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1950 until 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from AT&T in Ft. Worth after 38 years where he worked as a Central Office Installer.

He is survived by his son, Michael D. Gross and wife Mary of Ft. Worth; his daughter, Melissa A. Wilson and husband Mike of Wichita Falls; three brothers, Marvin Gross of Roswell, New Mexico, Jerry Gross of Cedar Park, and Jimmie Gross of Dothan, Alabama; three grandchildren, Chad Battista, Erica Greer, and Caleb Battista; and two great-grandchildren, Audrie, and Brennen.
