Florence Marie Battle
1922 - 2010

Florence Marie Battle, 88, a longtime Iowa Park resident, died Saturday, July 31, in Iowa Park.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ted Gray and her great nephew, Brett A. Cook, officiating. Burial followed Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Florence was born April 23, 1922 to William Jackson and Ethel Burrell Battle. She retired from White’s Stores Warehouse as a bookkeeper and later worked as a bookkeeper for Thompson Tool Company. She was a member of Lakeview Church of God.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister, Lorene Callahan of Iowa Park; and two brothers, Rolland Battle of Iowa Park and Kenneth Battle of Henrietta.
