Harris E. “Eddie” Calaway

Harris E. Eddie Calaway, 76, of Iowa Park, died Monday, August 2, 2010.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls with the Rev. Danny Hodgkins, officiating. Interment will follow at the Bowman Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late William Edgar and Myrtle Pearl (Adams) Calaway, he was born January 4, 1934, in Kilgore. He was a retired repairman with Gilmore, Inc. and worked as a driver for Rolling Plains Management. He enjoyed reading western novels, working puzzles, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Raulston Calaway of Iowa Park; daughter, Kim Mason of Granbury; son, Malcolm Calaway of Iowa Park; grandchildren, John Davidson, Justin Mason, Jimmy Mason, Rhiannon Lindsay, Corey Calaway and Anthony Calaway; great-grandchildren, Taylor Lindsay, Logan Davidson, Brandon Lindsay, Lillian Davidson, John Young, Destiny Young and Shelby Swain; brothers, Gerald Calaway of Tulsa, Oklahoma and James Calaway of Granbury.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to John and Sara (PCU) at United Regional 11th Street for their special, caring ways during this very hard time, and thanks to special friends, Cheryl and Jerry Brasher and Jim and Sherry Troeger, for all of the fun, trips and their support, and to close friends, Sandy Worth and Darlene Davis, for their friendship.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2010, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
