Dolores Jo Langford Gilbert
1943 - 2010

Dolores Jo Langford Gilbert, 67, died Wednesday, July 28, in Iowa Park.

Services were held Saturday, July 31, at Faith Tabernacle Church of Wichita Falls with Rev. Donnie Napier; her brother, Rev. Rick Langford; grandson, Rev. Kyle Cain and Rev. Vernon Mergerson, officiating. Burial was held at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gilbert was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Marshall, to Rufus M. and Geneva Morris Langford. She graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA. She married her longtime sweetheart, Jerry M. Gilbert, June 6, 1959, in Vivian, LA. She and Jerry lived in Shreveport prior to moving to Nashville, TN. They moved to Wichita Falls in 1972 and to Iowa Park in 1993. She was active in her church where she was pianist and sang in the choir until her illness would no longer permit.

Her parents, a brother, Tommy Langford; and daughter, Angela Jo Gilbert, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Gilbert, Sr.; her children, Carmen Cain of Wichita Falls, Mark Gilbert of Iowa Park; a sister, Joy Goss of Bossier City, LA., two brothers, Dwayne Langford of Marshall; Rev. Rick Langford of Lafayette, LA; six grandchildren; and great grandson.
