Joseph Rotz, 84, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, July 31, at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Military graveside services will be held Monday at Archer City Cemetery with Rev. Mark Graham, senior pastor of Overcoming Word Praise Center in Wichita Falls.
Mr. Rotz was born November 9, 1923, in New Village, N.J.w, to Steve and Rose Nagy Rotz. He was raised in Allentown, PA., where he attend college before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War where he was stationed with the Strategic Air Command and worked on the electrical systems of the B-52 Bombers. He retired from the United States Air Force in December 1963. He then owned and operated Mobile Phone of Graham until his retirement in 1997.
He and Oleta Covington were married April 16, 1998, in Archer City. After their marriage, they resided in Archer City until moving to Wichita Falls in 2005. He was a member of the Graham V.F.W. and the American Legion of Wichita Falls.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph of Portsmouth, VA., and Cecil of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Connie Eakin of Wichita Falls; two stepsons, Ronnie Maxwell of Iowa Park, and Jack Whitsitt of Archer City; a sister, Julie Ringer of Allentown, PA.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
