Frederick L. Sellers, Sr.
1927 - 2013

Frederick L. Sellers, Sr., 85, of Wichita Falls passed away Tuesday.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend David Sapata.

Interment with full military honors followed at Crestview Memorial Park.

Frederick was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Georgiana, AL. to Osgood M. and Susan D. (Welch) Sellers. He married Delphia I. Murphy Aug. 17, 1961, in Archer City. He was a disabled veteran retiring as SMSgt after 24 years of service. He served in the US Navy and US Air Force during WWII, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. Following the military he held his same job position as a contractor at Sheppard Air Force Base until again retiring. He was a lifetime member of a number of military organizations. He was interested in geneology and enjoyed taking video and pictures. He also enjoyed cooking his specialty dishes for large family gatherings.

Sellers is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Sellers; three daughters, Elizabeth Tierson, Diane Caton, Dorothy Bowen; three sisters, and six brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years; six children, Lana Burleson of Lakeside City, Frederick Sellers Jr. of Forney, Donald Sellers of Wichita Falls, Iris Holley of Houston, AL, and Michael Sellers, of Iowa Park, and Helen Freeman of Plano; a brother, Marvin Harold Sellers of Mobile, AL; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
