Douglas Alan Jacobson
1957 - 2007
Douglas Alan Jacobson, 49, a former Iowa Park resident, died Monday, August 6, in Pine City, MN.

Services will be held Sunday evening at Swanson Funeral Home in Pine City. On Monday he will be laid to rest in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Mr. Jacobson was born Dec. 31, 1957, to Darrell and Carol Jacobson, in Cokato, MN. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was a disabled veteran. He moved to Iowa Park in 1981, where he worked as a mechanic three years. He returned to Minnesota in 2002.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.

Survivors include his parents of Wyoming, MN.; his wife, Patricia Vos Jacobson; a daughter, Leya Jacobson of Iowa Park; a son, CPL Dan Jacobson of Iowa Park; three stepdaughters, Karrinne Vos Jacobson and Christine Vos, both of Pine City, and Desiree Vos Collins of Lewisville; four brothers, Barry of Fifty Lakes, MN., Michael of Los Vegas, NV., Jeff of Blaine, MN., and Gene of Pine City, MN.; and three step-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Iowa Park Police Association, Box 141, Iowa Park, Tx. 76367, or the Red River Marines Corps League Detachment 997, P.O. Box 1775, Wichita Falls, TX. 76307-1775.
