Lenore Horn Lane Fonville Smith, 73, formerly of Iowa Park, passed away Saturday, August 4, in Wichita Falls.

Services were held Tuesday at Lakeview Church of God with pastor Ted Gray officiating. Burial followed at Crestview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Cashion, to A.C. and Beulah Horn. She attended schools in Burkburnett and Wichita Falls. She and Howard Lane were married Oct. 31, 1950. He preceded her in death April 1, 1986. On Oct. 1, 1988, she married Lesley Leon Fonville, and he preceded her in death Sept. 14, 2001. She and Sidney Smith were married April 1, 2006. She was a nurse, who cared for the elderly and Alzheimer’s patients. She was active in the Cashion Reunions, Farm Bureau, Cancer Connection, First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls Outreach Program and the Early Bird Sunday School Class, the Joy Class, a Grief Support Group, and served 10 years as the Golden Harvest Activity Director at Lakeview Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Linda Watson of Wichita Falls, a son, Howard Lane of Grand Bay, AL., her stepchildren, Lesley Fonville of Jolly, Kenneth Smith of Fort Worth, Roger Smith of Wichita Falls, and Cynthia Lamb of Burnet; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
