Zearl Gilbreath Jr.
1933 - 2017

Zearl Gilbreath Jr, 83, passed away, Monday, July 31, in Iowa Park.

Funeral services were held Saturday, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, with Larry Suttle, preacher from 10th and Broad Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial was held at Crestview memorial Park in Wichita Falls.

Mr. Gilbreath was born on Dec. 18, 1933, in Wichita Falls, to the late Zearl Sr. and Malinda Gilbreath. He graduated from Wichita Falls High in 1951. Zearl and Bobbie Musgrave were married June 19, 1955 in Oklahoma City and moved to Wichita Falls soon after. He worked for TX dot for 37 years, starting out digging ditches, but worked his way up as a surveyor.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gertrude Gilbreath; his parents, Zearl Sr. and Malinda Gilbreath; his oldest son, Zearl Gilbreath III; and his only daughter, Malinda Calhoun.

Survivors include his wife; and two sons, Tommy Gilbreath, and Daniel Gilbreath; 41 grandchildren; and 55 great grandchildren.
