JoAnn “Jody” Allen, 58, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7 in Graham.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 10 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Burrus of Cowboy Church Gatherin’ officiating.

Jody was born Nov. 25, 1952 in Greenville, S.C. to Gay (Johnson) Hicks and the late Johnie Hicks. She married Rusty Allen on Aug. 8, 1974 in Wichita Falls. She was a supervisor at Media Recovery and a member of the Cowboy Church Gatherin’.

Survivors include her husband, L.F. “Rusty” Allen of Graham; daughter, Deidra Yvonne Allen of Graham; son, Kennon Allen of Maricopa, Ariz.; mother, Gay Hicks of Iowa Park; brothers, Stephen Hicks of Iowa Park and Gregory Hicks of Wichita Falls; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Graham Regional Hospice or Breast Cancer Research.
