Annella Dunaway Brixey

Annella (Dunaway) Brixey, 77, of Kamay, TX passed away Friday, August 6, 2010, in Wichita Falls, TX.

Funeral services were at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Kamay First Baptist Church, Kamay, TX with Rev. Mark Mitchell, and Rev. Adam Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Bluegrove Cemetery, Bluegrove, TX under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, TX.

Mrs. Brixey was born October 14, 1932 in Decatur, TX to J.C. and Hilda (Rhine) Dunaway. She married her College sweetheart Thomas Brixey February 21, 1952 in Decatur, Texas. They met while attending Decatur Baptist College. She worked for City National Bank in Wichita Falls then Worked for the Wichita County Water Improvement District number two for 27 years where she was a tax assessor and tax collector. She was a member of the Texas Cattle Women’s association and a member of the Kamay First Baptist Church where she served as the church organist.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas (Bud) Brixey of Kamay, TX; 3 sons, John Brixey and wife Cathy of Fredrick, SD, James Brixey and wife Debbie of Kamay,TX, Jeryl Brixey and wife Kristi of Comanche, TX, daughter, Lee Ann Beall and husband Charles of Ada, OK; brother, Jerry Dunaway and wife Gail of Farmers Branch, TX; 13 grandchildren, J.C. Brixey, T.R. Brixey, Rusty Brixey, R.L. Brixey, B. J. Brixey, Audrey Beall, Kayla Brixey, J. F. Brixey, Lee Brixey, Spencer Beall, Olivia Beall, Kaytlin Brixey, Kamryn Brixey; 1 great- grandchild, Jerek Brixey.
