Juanita “Nita” Posey, 67, a lifelong resident of Knox City passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, in Haskell.

Funeral services were held Thursday, at the First Baptist Church in Knox City with Bro. Clifton McFadden officiating. Nita will be layed to rest along side her parents in Rochester at the Rochester Cemetery.

She was born in Knox City on March 2, 1945, to Ophus Ola and Laura Frankie (Gunnels) Posey.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Bonnie Cleo.

Survivors include three sisters, Patsy Wilson of Haskell, Mildred McFadden of Iowa Park, and Linda Vaughn of Tyler; and two brothers, Roy Posey of Andrews, Gary Posey of Hawkins.
