Iva Marie Thomas Tesson

Services for Iva Tesson, 84, of Canadian, Texas, were Saturday, August 11, 2007, at the First Christian Church with Matt Cook officiating and Rev. Donald Hill assisting.

Burial followed in the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.

Mrs. Tesson passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Wheeler.

Iva was born November 26, 1922, in Paden, OK to the late Mr. Cecil Davenport and Mrs. Florence Bettis Davenport. She attended schools in Canadian, TX. She married Leo Thomas on April 11, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1955. She then married Robert Tesson on February 22, 1974. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1991. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Canadian, TX. She was preceded by four brothers, Eddie Davenport, Wayne Davenport, Jimmy Davenport and Bobby Davenport.

She is survived by four sons, Richard Thomas and wife, Jody of Iowa Park, Sonny Thomas and wife Linda of Elk City, OK, Jerry Thomas and wife Dawn of Kingston, OK, and Dennis Thomas and wife Connie of Mustang, OK; three daughters, Sue Logan of Elk City, OK, Joyce Kenyon and husband Bobby of Iowa Park, and Debbie Edmondson of Elk City, TX; six sisters, Clara Jones of Pampa, Georgia Thomas and Joyce Steinle and husband Alvin, all of Canadian, Maxine Larsh of Iowa Park, Dorris Cook of Clinton, OK, and Willa Fitch of Locust Grove, OK; 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
