James Parker
1953 - 2017

James Parker, 63, of Lakeside City, passed away Wednesday, August 9, at his residence.

Memorial services were held Saturday at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

James was born Oct. 23, 1953, in Olney, to Thomas Turner Parker and Laverne Boone Parker. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School “Old High”. He was employed at Big State Grinding for a few years and then was employed at Certain Teed as a machinist for thirty years. He coached Little League for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf and being with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Parker.

Survivors include two sons, Corey Parker of Iowa Park and Josh Parker of Decatur; daughter, Jamie Proctor of Hillsboro; mother, Laverne Pino and husband, Dr. Alfonzo Pino of Proctor; sister, Sue Emory of Stephenville, two brothers, Richard Parker and Bryan Parker; and his other brother, Darrel Armstrong, all of Wichita Falls; and five grandchildren.
