Gerald Williams
Gerald Williams, 72, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday, Aug. 15.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Ross of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Williams was born to Walter C. Williams and Ollie N. (Hogan) Williams in Wichita Falls and he was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He and Letty Ross were married June 26, 1959, in Wichita Falls. He was employed as a machinist for Foster Cathead for 29 years and later with Pratt & Whitney for 20 years. He served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1957. He enjoyed camping and was an avid bass fisherman.
Survivors include his wife; children, Teddy of Wichita Falls, Donnie of Dean, Jo Lynn Franklin of Iowa Park, Tyna Sanders of Pocola, OK., Wendy O’Gorman of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests, in lieu of usual remembrances, donations be made in his memory to Special Olympics Texas, 710 Lamar St., 76301 or to ARC.
