Allan Wesley Bennett
1929 - 2011

Allan Wesley Bennett, 82, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, in Wichita Falls.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday at the Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Don Pellikan, pastor, First United Methodist Church of Burkburnett officiating.

Graveside services followed at Highland Cemetery.

Allan was born May 20, 1929 in Jersey City, NJ to John William and Bertha Henrietta (Voelgtle) Bennett. He married Martha Carlene Sullivan on June 22, 1950 in Iowa Park. He was a veteran who served in the United States Air Force. He worked for the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation in Wichita Falls as the Plant Maintenance Manager. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park where he had served as president of Kumduble Sunday School Class. He was a past member of the Evening Lions Club and worked with the American Heart Association. He was also a member of the UOA and Cancer Society.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arnold Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Carlene (Sullivan) Bennett of Iowa Park; two sons, Allan Wesley Bennett, Jr. of Greenwood, AR. and William Anthony Bennett of Arlington; four grandchildren; seven great -grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

The family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, PO Box 4804 Wichita Falls, Texas 76308 or to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Iowa Park, Texas 76367.
